FLOAT AND FLOW RETREAT
Yoga, Tubing, Camping, Community.
Join me and the Muddy Feet Yoga crew on a yoga and river tubing adventure you’ll never forget! It’s guaranteed to be a laid-back, stress-free, fun time in the sun with great friends.
When: August 12-13, 2017 –and– September 9-10, 2017
Where: Mount Hope Campground, Stone City, Iowa
We will arrive at Mount Hope Campground at 11:30ish a.m. to set up camp. Power Yoga practice will be from 12-1:00 p.m. on-site at the campground. After yoga, we’ll gather ourselves and our supplies to shuttle up to the put-in (Matsell Bridge area). *Shuttle is around 1p.m.* Then we’ll lazily float down the Wapsipinnicon river to the take-out, at Stone City access. After the float is dinner, drinks, snacks, and conversation at the Stone City General Store, the best bar/restaurant in town! (Around 5:30 or 6? Depends on water level.)
After that we’ll shuttle back up to the campground for a round-the-campfire hang – out session. More drinks, snacks, chillin, bondin. Wake up slow (around 9 or 10?) with a morning meditation, followed by a gentler yoga session.
Cost:
$30.00 includes yoga sessions, river tour, and shuttles.
Other costs:
– Tubes!
Tubes are NOT available to rent at this location. Feel free to get creative! Last year, we had a lovely giant pink flamingo floaty! I’ve seen donut tubes, pretzel tubes, anything that floats!
– Camping is $10 per tent/RV. There’s a hotel up the road in Anamosa. ** I can’t guarantee a shuttle to and from hotel.** if anyone plans to stay there, let me know asap and I’ll try to work something out for you.
– Dinner and snacks. The General Store accepts credit, debit, and cash. There are stores in Anamosa, if you forget things.
– Other necessities: water, other beverages, sunscreen, bug spray, coolers, tubes for coolers, camping gear, etc.
Please do not attend float if you are unable to swim. I am not a lifeguard. All who float, float at their own risk. All who yoga, yoga at their own risk. This is true for all activities during this float. Take care of yourselves, be safe, and have fun!
